    Hi,
I've been looking around, but found many with same problem, but apparently no sure solution.

HDPVR 1212 box worked perfectly for a pair of years, on scheduler, then it begun to be "not recognized" when PC was "awaking up" by scheduler's orders.

My procedure is simple, to record some free documentaries broadcasted during the night, the PC goes to sleep on energy sparing settings; (Windows 7, two Xeon double processors, 32GB RAM, external HDD 2TB).
    HDPVR is always on.
3 minutes before the planned recording time, WinTV flashes and the PC is going up; my PC takes really few seconds.

Then, the TME recording frame appears and after few seconds HDPVR enlights itself and the recording takes place.

Does somebody here have some hints ?

    Thank you very much

Most common problem is the power supply that is starting to fail which cause it to stop being recognized by PC.
Min of us SageTV folks we just use the PC 5v power supply by get 4pin Male Molex connector to DC male connector made up and with Molex pin extractor and PCI Bracket 4-Pin Molex Power Connector

Being you didn't have a problem before.
In most case turn off any auto sleep mode other then Monitor sleep and should use the High Performance power option and disable Harddrive sleep mode in the advanced setting is the best way to go.

    Thank you SHS!
I noticed that if the PC was always "ON", the first "reconnaissance" was enough...
So I did what you are saying by exclusion: I put PC always ON, and the scheduling is ok, also for many days
    Thank tou

  4. The HDPVR crashes every now and then. You will need to reboot it occasionally. That means unplugging the AC/DC converter, the USB connection, and maybe even the HDMI connection.
