  2. Are you not able to even get them copied to the computer? To do that, you can either use the application bundled with the camera; connect the camera to the computer and drag and drop the files; or take the SD card out of the camera and put into a card reader and copy from that.

Thanks John. When I put the memory card into the iMac it showed no movies. Wasn't aware I needed to go through a card reader which I will get and try.

Panasonic suggests converting the footage on-camera to AVCHD (.mts) (Menu: Copy: MEM/HDD to SD in AVCHD format), then importing into iMovie. http://eng.faq.panasonic.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/10507/~/can-i-use-the-software-fo...ac-computer%3F

  6. I'm sorry I misled you with the way I worded my response: if your computer has an SD card reader built in, you certainly do not need to get a new, external reader.

If nothing shows up on the memory card, that is puzzling. I assume you can see the movies you have taken when the card is inside the camera and you select the camera's playback mode to view the movie on the camera's built-in screen. If so, then the issue is one of software on the Mac. Unfortunately I have seldom used a Mac so I cannot tell you what additional software may be needed in order for the Mac O/S to recognize the files on the card. Hopefully someone else will have an idea.

Thanks John not misled. Just haven't done this before. The short clips I've taken show up on the camera but not the card. I am getting ready to put a different
card to see if that is the problem. Just frustrating as I want to take movies of our grandaughter.
    Thanks for your help!
