Hi guys.
I want to rip all my dvd's to mp4.
Is there a software that could make the job that MAKEMKV is doing for mkv files ?
The dvd's are on my hdd's, I've used VidCoder but this software re encodes the video, so it's not what I need.
I want to select the audio tracks and subtitles that I want. And chapters.
So my question is : What software will do this without re encoding ( like MAKEMKV ) ?
Or settings in a software ?
Thank you.

Isn't there a direct software to make this process direct ?
Without to make 1st mkv and then mp4 ? -
Wrong.
Mp4 IS a container
And there is AFAIK no reason why you could not put the mpeg in to a MKV WITHOUT re-encoding. -
I don't believe you have this option. MKV2MP4 decides on it's own if re-encoding is needed.I've tried mkv2mp4 but I didn't find the option to not recode the mkv file.
And some might only support AAC audio. Some portable players might not support it.
So perhaps try to tick Expert mode in MakeMKV preferences and choose AAC-stero as profile.
And then re-mux to .mp4 with
ffmpeg -i MyMakeMKVVideo.mkv -c copy MyMP4.mp4
and see if your target player supports it.
