  1. I have been using this program for some time and find it very well done, effecient, and fast. However, recently I have begun receiving error notifications on some files I attempted to convert. Subsequent conversion of these same files have been successful with other conversion programs (e.g., iSkysoft Video Converter). Attached you will find a number of your Log files, in hopes that you can tell me what I am doing wrong. If you like to receive one of the files MkvToMp4 was unable to convert, please tell me and I will send it on. Thank you for your attention.

I'm moving you to our video conversting section as this is not site feedback.

Post the details from one of the files that cause problems. Use mediainfo, open video, view->text and copy everything.

    Code:
    Format : HEVC
h265/HEVC video is probably not supported by mkv2mp4. I don't know any simple way to remux such video...you can always try command line solutions like ffmpeg or mp4box.

  5. The program is a few years old, so you might try to manually update stuff in Tools and probably in x32 and x64 (like MediaInfo.dll etc). If the changes are too big, there's a chance, that mkv2mp4 will not work with the newest versions of the tools, so trial and error path or wait for advice from somebody more knowledgeable. Of course do it on a copy of your mkv2mp4 or you'll lose your settings. I don't use it, so it's just a guess.

  6. MeGUI will happily remux this into mp4.
Use the one-click option and set the audio codec to what you wish. (I believe mkvtomp4 would downmix the audio to 2 channels)
You may even set audio encode to "never" to just mux. Which you should do in this case since the video details indicate 2 channel.
Check advanced options and select don't encode video.
Select the container format as mp4.

Sounds like an easier method than manually doing it with ffmpeg / mp4box.

But note that your portable player must also support mp4 with HEVC/h265 Video. And many does not...so you are back to reconverting with VidCoder.
