Video compatibillity issues please help!

I have Sony Vegas pro 13, I am trying to put this video in the program to edit it and it's not working, it only puts the first few seconds 10-40 depending on the video length and it ignores the rest of the video please someone help me! I have recorded 483gb of video and now that I came to edit it it's not working, but when I add a 30 fps 1080p movie it works just fine, I don't want to have to recorded allllll of the videos again to make them 30 fps to fix it, Maybe by reducing the bit rate or something but I don't want to lose fps or resolution or quality.

if there is a way around this problem please help me!

Install MediaInfo and do a 'text' export of information from the file to here. Then we would be better able to help.
