    Buying them solves the problem of access to sources, but it brings up the issue of synchronization licensing. You had better Cover Your Ass if you plan on putting commercial music with your visuals and sharing it publicly.
    That's why royalty free music, public domain music, or music you and your friends create yourselves is a much safer, if not better, option.
