I've got an h264 encoded mp4 that has some form of corruption in it that causes it to stop playing midway through. I've tried demuxxing the mp4 and remuxxing as mkv instead but the corruptin remains. It might be toast, but are there any error scanning utilities out there that can possibly mask the bad undecodable frames somehow?

Maybe try cut away the bad part with avidemux. If it can open it. Set start and stop and delete.

Or does it stop play at random times?

Judging by the comments section I'm not the only one who finds this program broken now. Where can I find older versions that might still work?

Newer versions of the program work if you download and install the proper USP10.dll file. I did a search on Google and found instructions on how to extract it from the free Microsoft Office viewer.
