I'm looking to double my laptop's RAM, and it was recommended on Crucial that i have matching pairs for best performance. I struggled to find a matching one for mines, eventually did on ebay but they were from America, so a bit pricey and don't want to wait weeks for it to arrive. Anyone know in the UK of a website that will do this one?

Are you looking for Crucial memory since you then post a pic of Kingston ram ?

Laptops have a habit of using very specific memory which you can not buy commercially(bulk-ordered and produced). The make/model no of the unit may help here.

Or simply buy a new matched pair that meet the specs of your laptop.

Well i was going to add a RAM module which would be provided by Crucial, however after reading the message i think it would be best to get one to match my current module instead of two different modules in together.

My laptop is an Acer Aspire 7739

    One question.

Have you actually inspected the internals of your laptop ?

Meaning that there is one free slot for that 4gig ram (if you find one) rather than both slots are currently occupied by 2 gig modules.
