    I noticed this problem recently with my deck. With the Digital TBC/DNR circuit switched on, I get about 2-3 Hz brightness pulsing. The level rises relatively slowly than rapidly falls back. I've noticed the problem on different tapes. Does this sound like a capacitor issue? The machine was manufactured around 2003.

    I had two 9911's in a row, brand new out of the box, that did the same thing. Returned each of them the day after I bought 'em. People have known about the 9911 for some time now.

    Hasn't been a problem with mine until recently. It is a very low-hours unit.
