  1. I have 2 similar video files, and I can't decide which one to delete and which to keep...

One file is larger in size and has constant bitrate at 1413, I don't know why it says variable, maybe because of audio. It also has lower resolution.
Other one is smaller in size and has variable bitrate, max bitrate is: 5 798 Kbps, and resolution is higher.

At first I thought I should keep the one that's bigger in size, but by looking at specs I think the first one is better...?

  2. MP4 is better
Its have x264 more efficient codec and video size higher 720x404
Both overall have same bitrate x264-1126 Kbps and XVID(avi)-1271 Kbps

Thanks. Then I'm gonna use MP4

  4. Nobody can tell you which is better without seeing the actual videos. Just because one has better specs than the other doesn't necessarily mean its visual quality is better.

I agree. Simply watch a sample of each. If they appear the same/similar to you, then keep the file with the smallest size (storage is always an issue for everyone).

  6. Imax may be great but it is impossible to do much with or carry the camera.

My MPEG player can do EVERYTHING. Random segments, fast forward, slow motion, mix text video pictures and audio.

Nope it isn't the format but the app that counts.
