mpg1 & mpg2

am i right in thinking that mpg1 = vcd
and am i also right in thinking that mpg2 = svcd

i know that svcd gives better quality when watching on a dvd player
the only problem is, where can i get mpg2 files from

you would have to convert to them

there is a prog called DVD2SVCD that is for converting from dvd to svcd it is a very good prog.
