My canon camera shoots videos of high resolution and they are very big in size. I need to upload them on youtube. I want to convert them in lower resolution for that. So that buffering problems don't occur while watching my video. Need help to know which is the best video converter??

High resolution videos buffer very slow. Everyone uses youtube on mobiles. I am targeting the audience of all platforms including mobiles. So need videos of lower resolution to make mobile users browse and stream them without having buffering problems.

You are not reading what I write, YouTube automatically makes lower resolution versions of the same video. So a 4K upload will also have a 1080, 720 and 480 version.

I can only agree, there is no "best converter" once and for all. If there were, there wouldn't be so many others, and there would be no question about it.

YouTube uses their own converter anyway. No matter how great you encoded a video before uploading, YouTube will recode it again – already to avoid possibly embedded malware; and to create their own "optimum" as a compromise between quality, size, and streamability. You know, variable bitrates are good for quality, but bad for transmissions over a limited bandwidth channel.

You can't put that rule,it would then to clog the boards with other rules such as don't grave rob,don't hijack threads etc..,people just need to learn the unspoken rules when they are told by the more informed members of the forums.

here is what I consider best:

vidcoder uses the handbrake engine so it's similar to handbrake, as far as I know both are very solid applications, my GUI StaxRip is quite similar.

My GUI StaxRip is for enthusiasts that prefer simplicity and automation but still need access to powerful tools and features like AviSynth or VapourSynth (next release), the last and next release have manual features added so it becomes I little bit more similar too MeGUI.

MeGUI is for enthusiasts that like to perform individual encoding steps manually so it requires a bit more knowledge and time, the tools and possibilities are similar to StaxRip but with a different approach.

Hybrid is for enthusiast that prefer many options in front and like Handbrake it can run on Mac and Linux, many options in front involve a high cognitive load so it's similar to MeGUI.
