    Hi everyone,
Anyone know what's up with Canopus discontinuing their products?
Will they be introducing something new?
    Thank alot everyone.

Seeing that Canopus long ago was bought by Grass Valley Group (which has since, recently, been resold to Belden), maybe you are looking in the wrong place.

The GV site is the top link on a google search http://www.grassvalley.com/, and it is still active, with products still seeming to be sold.

Which Canopus products do you mean?

  4. I think they maybe rationalising some product ranges a bit. They seem to have discontinued the ADVC55 for example, but have retained the ADVC110.....

    From https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/371960-Canopus-discontinued-or-no-longer-available?p=2391426
Canopus discontinued or no longer available? I've been reading in here for a couple months off and on, I was going to get a canopus advc-300 and a tbc1000 and it's no longer available. Now what? Buy on e-bay and amazone? gee
Both the SDVC300 and a TBC1000 have been discontinued for a few years. You can buy used or buy something else.

Some people think the ADVC-300 was over-rated. I have seen comments from experienced members who found its built-in Line TBC ineffective and its filtering too agressive. Canopus still makes the ADVC-110.

I was refering to the advc-300, I did some reading about it's built-in TBC and found out there is no built in tbc in this unit. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else to buy. I saw a video one day, it was a side by side shot of the advc-110 and the advc-300 and the 300 model blew away the 110. Maybe I'll consider getting a advc-110 instead. Thanks guy, your feedback it much appreciated, any feedback to alternatives would be appreciated, once again, thank you, this forum rocks.

This place is full of threads on VHS to DVD conversions.

Many of the old timers are worn out posting this info.

Just search around and you'll find all you need to know.

    Happy hunting.
