i think the media used (or copied) every slogan that was posted on the many various web sites i visited. by the time i read them in most of the newspapers, i was bored. anyway.
the main picture, the one posted of spock in his traditional volkan "live long and prosperous" salute, is from the episode
edit: correction to episode title, is "Amok Time" not "This Side of Paradise, 1967"
look near the very end of the episode.Last edited by vhelp; 3rd Mar 2015 at 22:47.

i've noticed that from time to time, they change the title for some of the listings as i view them in my directv on-screen tv listing. this could be the case as to why you did not find it ?

i believe you...i just read the description, "crew bewitched by space spores". i guess directv screwed up there. oh well. thanks for the correction.

so anyway. i was thinking, what do you think william shatner's will be like. less? more?

While usually the whole major Star Trek cast attends funerals of old colleagues Shatner is different.
Gene Roddenberry - Shatner missed that one.
DeForest Kelley - Shatner missed that one.
James Doohan - Sharner missed that one.
Majel Barrett - Shatner missed that one.
Leonard Nimoy - Shatner missed that one.

Well you know, they were actors doing a job. Nobody said they had to be lifelong friends. And from what I hear about Shatner, it's no great loss.

My favorite episode is when Kirk is put on a planet alone with an ugly creature and they have to go hand to hand.

Thanks to Netflix I had opportunity to go through all series in all those years they made it available , TOS - The Original Series all the way to last one Enterprise (not that pleasant ride to go through) . It is always fun to watch those early episodes with any following new series The original has to be looked upon as a theatrical play, even Next Generation as well, same as if you went to a theater to see a performance and it is great. Not sure how well it would look without Spock in TOS, he gives it real, raw, believable feel, and he was believable alien, I would not see him as human in makeup. It was fun to hear those one liners like Data in NG saying "In the strictest sense, I did not win. But I busted him up." NG is superb regarding those one liners.
I copied these from one website, :
Computers make excellent and efficient servants, but I have no wish to serve under them.
--SPOCK, Star Trek: The Original Series, "The Ultimate Computer"
Without followers, evil cannot spread.
--SPOCK, Star Trek: The Original Series, "And The Children Shall Lead"
Change is the essential process of all existence.
--SPOCK, Star Trek: The Original Series, "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield"
Insufficient facts always invite danger.
--SPOCK, Star Trek: The Original Series, "Space Seed"
I have never understood the female capacity to avoid a direct answer to any question.
--SPOCK, Star Trek: The Original Series, "This Side of Paradise"
I realize that command does have its fascination, even under circumstances such as these, but I neither enjoy the idea of command nor am I frightened of it. It simply exists, and I will do whatever logically needs to be done.
--SPOCK, Star Trek: The Original Series, "The Galileo Seven"
Vulcans never bluff.
--SPOCK, Star Trek: The Original Series, "The Doomsday Machine"
It is curious how often you humans manage to obtain that which you do not want.
--SPOCK, Star Trek: The Original Series, "Errand of Mercy"
Once you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.
--SPOCK, Star Trek (2009)
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.
SPOCK, Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan -
No search for Spock remake I guess

And the way Shatner bloated up, I doubt he'll be commanding a star ship again. :{

An interesting interview withheld by the filmer till after Nimoy's death.

Interesting, that video was done in 1979, yet youtube has a 1080p setting available for viewing.

yeah, i must admit, i had a bit of a crush on her once upon a time. dont' know why they never made it a romance, she and c.kirk. so, she was in her mid 30's while doing startrek in the mid 60's. but 85 is a good age to go i guess.
i guess post # 11 should be updated.
