I opened a large high bitrate 1080p M2TS file in Virtual dub & want to cut a scene from it.
Opening up that files work fine, but when I try to move halfway through the video, Virtualdub crashes.
Every single time.
Is there any way around to viewing all the frames in a file that is very large with having VirtualDub crash?
IS there an alternative? I tried Avidemux, but it cashes as well.

What input filter are you using for virtualdub?
You can try cut by time stamps with tsmuxer. Under splitting. No video preview.
