Live streaming/broadcasting from DV/FireWire camcorder to web page?

Hi all,

I'm new on this forum so please forgive me my newbies approach


I'm looking for broadcasting/streaming software, to broadcast live events from a firewire source (DV Camcorder or video mixer with FireWire output) to my web page.

Do I need to use additional services like upstream or livestream? If yes is there a way to integrate them with my web page?

I would like to use software which works under Ubuntu but windows is fine for me as well.

Could you suggest me some user friendly software?

I have found success using wirecast as the encoder and youtube live as my CDN on my older Paladin but prices of newer cameras are dropping down right now, if you want to upgrade let us know!
