Hello there,
I've tried researching my question prior to writing this on here - had no luck finding the answer already provided. I do hope this is not a redundant one.
I've successfully converted/burned/played my own VCD now with thanks to info on this site. X-Men was my first ice breaker.
I have another movie now, and it's in two parts. The first part has successfully been converted from it's avi form to mpeg to VCD. However, the second part, which is also in avi form is said to be "successfully converted" to mpeg via TMPGEnc 12a, but the playback (in mpeg form) only shows 20 minutes of the 40 minute ending. The counter keeps going, but there's no more sound, and the picture shown is the frame at the 20 minute point of the movie.
The steps I use to convert are as follows:
1. Open TMPGEnc
2. Browse to source file (tomb_raider 2 of 2.avi)
3. Audio source = the same file.
4. Clicked LOAD and then selected Video CD (NTSC)
5. Clicked ENCODE.
I studied the concept of the bitrate sitting, the 4 digit number in the software. Is the template I'm using that is provided with the software by chance cutting off the rest of the movie to be encoded? Am I to manually put in the settings instead of loading a template?
Thanks for your time and patience,
