  1. Hello,

I've just started ripping my blu-ray collection and have started to put together a few useful tools - the primary one so far is MakeMKV, but there are a couple of issues I've found - or at least through research have been made aware of that may question whether or not MakeMKV is the best tool.

From what I gather certain blurays such as Wall-E have multiple playlists, one for each language as certain parts of the animation are translated. Also, certain discs such as the Lord Of The Rings Appendices discs contain plenty of titles, which are obviously labelled on the menu, but after MakeMKV has ripped them, it is impossible to tell what is what.

So, is there a way, of browsing and playing the bluray disc (and if it could handle DVDs as well that would be an bonus), and have some interactive way of seeing which titles are activated with which menu items, allowing me to extract only the English titles (as in the case of Wall-E), and correctly name those titles when MakeMKV extracts them (as in the case of the LOTR appendices discs)?

Obviously, a very long and tedious way is to use a bluray player, which I'd rather not do as I'd much prefer to be doing everything sat in front of the computer.

    Thanks.

    No.

Maybe select the title and note the running time. But you need a software player with blu-ray menu support like powerdvd, tmt, etc.

Aw, that's quite a shame.... Oh well - thank you for replying to me.
