Have an audio track and a static image that I've been trying to upload to You Tube, but it just won't work, no matter what type of video file I use.
I followed Googled instructions on how to use Virtual Dub and an audio file to convert to .avi, then upload to You Tube. Keep getting an error message.
Also read You Tube upload requirement, changed numerous settings, tried converting to WMV and MP4, still won't upload.... help please

More info on your file specs and the YouTube error message would be really helpful here.

Don't know much about the specs.... just followed instructions on how to use Virtual Dub to add a static image to an audio track, and then upload to You Tube. I had a .wav file converted to MP3 about 5.3mb in size, a .jpeg photo reduced from it's orginal size to 308X231, and saved as "avi." file as per the instructions. It would not load to You Tube, after about 15 mins the message was something about not recognzing the file type. I noticed when playing the file using Windows Media Player, the audio would skip every 15-20 seconds, so there did seem to be something wrong. Then I used another program, Any Video Converter, and tried converting the already-saved .avi to other formats... MPEG4, X264 and .FLV. Still will not upload. I'm not familiar with video bit rates and such, as I've never used Virtual Dub before.
One of the converted videos almost uploaded.... got to 95%, then stopped.
The specs for the original Virtual Dub .avi file read as follows:
Video:
Video Length: 00.05:41
Frame Width: 308
Frame Height: 231
Data Rate: 5kpbs
Frame Rate: 0 frames/second
Audio:
Bit rate: 192kbps
Channels 2 (stereo)
Audio Sample Rate: 44kHz
Total Size= 8.03 mb
I believe the actual frame rate for the video is 25fps. This all the info I can gather.
