first of all i am not sure where to post this question so if i am in the wrong section i do apologize.
in my notifications area on the taskbar in windows 7, each time i notice when windows looks at a file that is xvid video, the icon shows up. when i move my mouse over the icon it automatically disappears which is so annoying because i do not want it to even show up in the first place. here is a screenshot of what the icons look like:
when i go to edit my icons that show up this is the screenshot so any help would be greatly appreciated! note that i have cropped the following image to only show the icon that i am trying to fix

Has it always been like that?
Or have you recently installed a codec pack or video software with that annoying xvid decoder? -
It has always been like that. I went ahead and uninstalled it from the uninstaller exe file that was in program files xvid folder since it comes with vlc. It was from a version of klite codec pack i had installed. But now i no longer need it due to im making everything to x264 mkv using handbrake. Thank you for replying though! I think sometime soon i will remove the 2 pics and delete this post all together. Thanks again.
