Is there any way to fix the lag time on a webcam video and make it work in real time?
I want to video myself playing guitar but it doesnt come out right.
I have no idea if this is the right section and i am sure this must have been covered before. Anyway this is my first post here and hello to everyone and i hope you have a great day. Thanks.

There will ALWAYS be some lag (with digital devices such as these). How much does the current cam have, and how little would it need to be for it to be acceptable to you?
BTW, what does "video myself" and "doesn't come out right" really mean in this context? Are you using a webcam to capture a recording? If so, why do you need to see it in realtime? So are you or are you not using the webcam with a web service? If not, why use a webcam and not just a camera/camcorder/phonecam?

About the only thing you can do to minimize web cam lag is to increase the amount of lighting so the web cam operates at it's highest shutter speed. If you don't have real good lighting the web cam will automatically slow it's shutter speed in order to make a decent exposure. The darker the scene, the slower and more lag prone the web cam footage will appear. So try adding more light to area the web cam is looking at.
