    Thanks.

I would say delete it and re-install LAV

  3. Personally, I'd uninstall it and run CCleaner on the registry. Most people will never need anything more than ffdshow and Haali (required by BDRB). If and when you need an individual codec, install it then.

Since you're running Win7, right-click the BDRB executable and select run as administrator. BDRB should offer to configure itself and ffdshow/haali correctly. You should use only the specific versions of ffdshow, Haali, and Avisynth listed on the BDRB development thread.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

[EDIT] Ha, gonca beat me to it. Yes, you can use the LAV filters as well, also linked on the first page of the developer's thread along with the other tools.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

Do not run any registry cleaners. They do more harm than good.

I learned that the hard way, the last time I used a registry cleaner, there were so many problems I had to reinstall windows 7, thanks for your reply.

  7. Me too, I ran a proprietary equivalent of CCleaner that featured registry compacting/defragmenting/cleaning and backup. I did all of that and several months later my system gradually became a quagmire of hangups, freezes, crashes and errors (but still booted correctly). I restored my 5-month-old registry backup and only kept the program to use that specific backup feature and nothing else.
If you cant be bothered to backup your entire disk, backup your registry, it is the most important, irreparable part of your system that gives your OS its soul.

I backup my computer at least everytime windows update installs many updates with acronis true image and also keep a separate copy of all my drivers, programs, etc., I have many years backing up DVD's but I'm still very new to Blue Ray backups and learning as much as I can.

    Thanks.

I've run CCleaner 42 times(I have all of the registry backups) since 8/2/2008 on this computer that I had built on 5/4/2008 with Windows XP Pro(loaded it myself). Just a few days ago my son downloaded a virus/trojan to this computer and it was easily taken care of with MalWareBytes and CCleaner. I ran CCleaner twice, once on 1/6/2015 and once on 1/8/2015 along with two MalWareBytes scans(one quick scan and later one full scan) and now my little XP Pro computer is back to it's wonderful normal and clean as a whistle....STILL....after almost 7 years of trouble-free use.

  11. You're very lucky. The problem is, there is no real standard way of making automated "good" changes to the registry because every program has a different way of saving its info there and this can lead to the registry cleaner screwing it up, not noticeably at first but in the long run. They are snake oil products.
