exporting SD from Pinnacle 18

Looking for Pinnacle 18 export setting suggestions for best quality playback of SD footage (DV AVI) using a HDD connected to a Samsung HDTV.
I've been playing with MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 and different resolutions but can't quite figure out which looks the best. If using MPEG-2, what custom resolution should I use? What about bit rate?

So far I've come to the conclusion that the MPEG-2 at 720x480 at 8500 kbp/s looks the best (all other settings are defaults for MPEG-2).
For a ~2 minute video clip, the file size is ~137MB.
