For years DVD Shrink has been the tool of my choice for ripping DVD, my favourtite aspect is the re-authour tool that allows you to just rip a sction of your choice.

However SHRINK seems a little outdated now and doesnt seem be removing the PROTECTION

  2. I still use DVDShrink with AnyDVD running in the background when necessary to remove the copy protection DVD Shrink can't deal with. AnyDVD isn't free. Someone may be able to suggest a free program that'll rip DVDs to the standard format you can then open and re-author with DVD Shrink.

Or there's MakeMKV. If you're happy with MKV. I'm pretty sure it'll rip just the movie or individual episodes as individual MKVs etc (no re-encoding).

A good free alternative to AnyDVD is DVDFab HD Decrypter, (freeware).

    Also Passkey lite

It's not important the problem be solved, only that the blame for the mistake is assigned correctly

Rip with MakeMKV then create a new DVD using the files with DVDStyler or such. I've done that before just for kicks, although I have no actual use for the practice.

  6. CloneDVD with AnyDVD. The best combo available at the moment, in my opinion. Slysoft/Elby.
