I was surprised when I received a Amazon shipment this Sunday. The real surprise was that a USPS truck was doing the delivery.
Apparently free enterprise is alive and well with the USPS.

I attempt to avoid any USPS Sunday deliveries. I live in a town with North and South same address numbers as in many towns. My Sunday delivery was reported as delivered but I didn't get it . Waited 3 days and reported it to Amazon. They said no prob and re-sent overnight replacements. I went to the same other address and they said no delivery here. Post office said it was delivered.

Week later Amazon sends shipping labels and said to send 1st delivery back when received. I said never received anything but the replacement shipment.

Now 2 months later they have recharged my CC for the full amounts of the re-placement shipments.

Buyer beware with Amazon Sunday deliveries. I think they use contract help who aren't really familiar with the area.

    YMMV

P.S This was the second time this happened even after a long talk with the local Post Office and Amazon .

I bet you he does not get double overtime pay.

Most people who work on Sundays do NOT get payed overtime just because it is Sunday.

Ah the 80's, well it is the "new" economy now, almost all people in the service industry basically work part time, overtime kicks in if they work on holidays only or over 40 hours.

If you want to go back to Sunday rest you need Landru to come back.

The Sunday pay would depend on the hours worked by that employee. Lots of people work Sunday and Saturdays and get different days off. I wasn't able to verify that the driver was our regular driver, but it was a similar USPS delivery truck. If he worked in excess of a 40 hour week, then he would likely get time and a half. Double time is often reserved for working during federal holidays, such as the Fourth of July or similar. But this would all depend on their contract.
