divx to VHS

I would very much have some help here
I recently tried to record some of my divx-films on to VHS but they seems to be in black&white why? I use win XP whith a Geforce 3 graphicscard. When I look at the movies in my TV there´s no prob Is there anything that I can download to get the (PAL) signal clearer?

I record DivX to VHS all the time - you might want to lower the resolution (color depth also) before you try to record it

I have an ATI All In Wonder and I drop my resolution to 640x480 and 16bit color before I record - that gives me the best results

I convert divx to vcd or svcd and play it on the DVD and record it to VHS then sell/trade the VCD or SVCD.
