  1. When I use One-Click, with Automatic Deinterlacing enabled, MeGui defaults to particular deinterlacers. For instance, for partially interlaced content, it defaults to Yadif. I'd like it to default to TDINT (with Bob). Is there a way to do this?

  2. I had a look (I use MeGUI fairly regularly, but never the OneClick encoder) and if there's a way to set a preferred de-interlacing method I can't work out how to do it. I'm fairly sure it can't be done.

The only option would be to add your desired de-interlacing to a script template (ie AVS Profile), save the setup as a OneClick profile etc and choose the appropriate profile according to whether the video is interlaced or not, but of course it's no longer the same automatic de-interlacing doing it that way.

Zathor is the guy who does most of the work maintaining MeGUI and I know he uses the OneClick encoder a lot himself so maybe you could ask if there's a reason why it's not an option. He visits these threads fairly regularly.

  3. Hello hello_hello - I'm quite certain it's not (yet) an option, but thought I'd throw it out to the forum. Have been googling this but can't find anyone else even asking the question. I wonder if it's possible to parse the <deinterlace> flag for certain values (I've done it before with the <resize> flag, but <resize> is just one line), then code prefereces based on that. Just a thought.

    Thanks for the response hello_hello.
