I'm going to shoot classroom teaching video with two camera but both of them are consumer level HD video camera with no time code or different brands. (or I don't know time code either). What I need is one camera set up for teacher and one for students asking questions or responding to teacher. In editing, sync footage together. I read some posts about clapperboard but no idea how it works. Is it as simple as when the clapperboard was clapped, two camera operators push start button at the same time will work ? Will it have time delay due to human error or mechanic difference in two different camera ?
If my understanding is totally wrong, what will be the simple trick to sync two camera ?
I never success in school concerts when two camera setup in different corners.... I tried to match the first music note in every performance but no luck, there were always time delay or unable to sync lips.

First, make your life simple by running the cameras continuously during the session. Do not turn them off until it is over.
Before the session starts -- or once it is over (but before you have turned off the cameras) hold a slate/clapboard where both cameras can see it and make a loud firm, single clap.
Load both of these videos into your editing system and align the claps -- either visually or by sound or by waveform. If your software allows for a multicamera clip -- do that. Otherwise, just cut back and forth between the two layers until you like it. -
Thanks.
I believe the Adobe Premiere Element supports multicamera clips.
