Hi all,
This my very first post
I have a simple request.
I'd like to transfer the content of some TS files into MKV (Sony TVs don't read TS files).
They are Samsung UHD (3840x2160) demos encoded in HEVC.
You can find some here:
http://demo-uhd3d.com/categorie.php?cat=demouhd
One sample here:

I tried MKVmergeGUI but unfortunatly for some reason it doesn't "see" the video stream of those TS files.
Thanks for your help.

I doubt your sony tv supports HEVC video. In any container(ts,mkv, avi, etc).

Well, my question is about HEVC embedded into TS files not recognized by MKVmergeGUI.

 Not about Sony TVs...

But while you're there teach yourself, Sony X85 and X9 series TV (at least) do decode HEVC (and in UHD 3840x2160).
I own a KD-49X8505B and it plays this HEVC demo:

And I found this about mkvmergegui:
So you must then extract the hevc stream from the ts....maybe tsmuxer if it supports hevc in ts...but try the ffmpeg remuxing first.* mkvmerge, mkvextract: new feature: added support for h.265/HEVC by merging the patches from DivX/Rovi Corp. So far HEVC is only supported as elementary streams and read from other Matroska files.

Let me know how it works. So I can learn something more. . .
