Hi,
I am a bit of a SVCD newbie so bear with me - I searched alot and couldn't find any help so I'm asking here.
I have my own animations which I want to burn in SVCD format so that I can play them back on my DVD player.
This is what I do:
* I use Premiere to convert the TGA sequences to Microsoft VFW Video 1 Uncompressed AVI
* I use TMPGEnc to convert to MPEG2 with sound
* I try and use VCD Easy with CDRDAO to burn the SVCD format
So far no matter what I do produces CDR coasters as VCDEasy says Simlation and Write failed with Buffer underrun
I have a Dual P3 450, 640Mb RAM, HP9100 CDR (8x), 3DLabs Oxygen VX1 VideoCard
I set it to burn at 1x,
give it 128 Mb ram buffer
(it's only a 12 sec clip)
and it fails every time (however ONE of the trashed CDRs did halfway work -with excellent quality btw - for a few (6) seconds in my DVD player - prbabyl failed just where the buffer underrun occured.
Can anyone please help me figure this out?
Thanks so much!

forgot to mention I'm using WinNT 4.0 SP6a if that makes any difference
(I never had any problems burning anything with that HP CDR before) -
I have my buffer set to 512, and force driver set to generic-mmc. When I had either of these set to something else, I got the buffer under-run errors. (Now I can burn at 8x.) Your writer may have different optimal settings. I'd suggest testing different settings on a CD-RW.
