HI!
What is the real (visible, optical) resolution of an average Blu-ray disc HD video? It is a complicated theoretical question.
There are downsampling in colorspace (degradation of visible quality), there are degradation due to compression too....
I suppose around 900*600 pixel....

	it is impossible to aswer your question. CG footage can easily 'utilize' fullhd resolution. While old noisy movies may not benefit much from 1080p.
