    sthsvcd:Supports also SVCD, DVD if you have installed a software DVD Player. Does that mean that it can play a svcd without having installed a software dvd player?

    You mean Herosoft's player? No...you need to install a software
    DVD player or the mpeg-2 codec. The latest version of power DVD XP
    will recognise and play SVCD discs without a problem - perhaps
    better to use that instead.
