Hi Everyone,
This might be a noob question, but I was hoping to get some help on how to delay audio inwindows 7 so that all programs will have video/audio sync.
Currently I have an HTPC output audio through HDMI on my Intel G530 (for HD-Audio) to my Harmon Kardon AVR-1600. I have a Radeon HD 6450 that outputs via HDMI to my Panasonic TC-P60ST60 television. However, there is around 250ms video/audio lag (audio before video). *Please note that I did it this way because my receiver cannot handle 3D passthrough. My Harmon-Kardon can only delay audio up to 180ms, so I need to use software/windows to delay the other 70ms.
I was able to do this via XBMC using advancedsettings.xml that delays the audio but it caused other issues in XBMC. This also doesn't fix audio sync when using Total Media Theatre 6 for playing BluRays.
I was wondering if I could use something like FFDShow to put a global audio delay in windows that would just delay 250ms no matter what program I use (xmbc, tmt6, Netflix, youtube, etc). Is this possible? I don’t want to have to buy another receiver to delay audio another 70ms.
I've heard that my TV should only have around ~75ms delay,so I’m wondering also if there are other factors that I’m not considering/thought of that may be causing this much of a delay as well.
I would appreciate any and all help, thanks!

You can't use ffdshow and similar for browser youtube flash and netflix(silverlight,html5 video) because they aren't using any external decoders.
250ms video lag sounds a bit much. I'm also connecting my pc(ati radeon 4800) to my panasonic tv through hdmi, then to a sonos receiver and I have never experienced any video/audio lag.
But can't you configure to use youtube and netflix directly in xbmc and use it's internal filters? Maybe also possible with blu-ray support using tmt filters. -
Thanks for the reply Baldrick, it seems I definitely have an issue on the HTPC side. I went ahead and tested a Rasbperry Pi directly connected to the Panasonic TV and there was no delay.
I also tested my HTPC using the following setups:
HDMI video through G530 -> Harmon Kardon -> TV and this still had around 250ms lag
HDMI video through Radeon HD 6450 -> TV and this still had around 250ms lag
I also changed between 24hz and 60hz and same lag exists. Since there is no lag on my Raspberry, i'm assuming it has to be with the setup on my HTPC. I'm wondering if a re-install is in order.
Perhaps run XBMC on windows 8 might fix the problem?
