SONY BD-S60 Blu-Ray region question

I have the above machine in the UK (Blu-Ray region B) and would love to play region" A1" blu-ray discs on the machine,
the machine was purchased as a multi region DVD player, can it be hacked to play other region BLU-RAY discs, or are these HACKS only to play different region DVD's

Nope, you need to buy a multi region, multi zone player. As you're in the UK, a truly Region/Zone free one will cost about £100 more than the standard model.

most hacke for a bluray player would be for the dvd side only.

You can convert the disc to mkv files and play it in file mode.
