just got 10 50 gb bluray branded MEDIARANGE,but.....

..... it looks like i cant get them to work,i Always copied 25gb bluray with dvdfab 8 with no problems but with these 50 gb MEDIARANGE bluray discs im having a lot of troubles!

i copied 3 movies the first 2 made with dvdfab,the process went fine dvdfab told me everything was ok but when i put the movie in my player(popcorn hour c-300) the movie starts but after pressing ok to the first screen the movie wouldnt go further!

the first try was made by imgburn but this time it gave me error at the end of the copying process around 99%,the movie doesnt even start if put in the popcornhour c300!

is there something i dont know about copying 50gb discs that perhaps could make me be successfull???

or perhaps this brand (MEDIARANGE) sucks and thats the problem????

The ONLY 50 GB BD discs I would ever use are Verbatim. Period.

My experience is that even Verbatim 50 GB BD discs behave weirdly and inconsistently in BluRay players. Weird problems will happen like disc freezes, menu choices not working, etc. but if you reload the same disc it will work fine. But Verbatim probably has less problems than any other brand.

so we can agree that the problem is the brand i bought?looks like MEDIARANGE brand sucks!

its a big disappointment then i will go back to stream the movie from the hard disk and wait until i see the prices of the 50gb bluray disk go a way more down then now!

Show us the mid code that is displayed in Imgburn.

You can find the MID of the discs by clicking on the Device tab while in Build mode, or you can go into Discovery mode in Imgburn and it will show up on the right side of the main window.

According to information I've seen, MediaRange normally has CMCMAG DI6 mid code for their 6x DL blu ray. Those aren't terrible, but are nowhere near as good as the 4x Panasonic MEI-T02-001 discs, also sold sometimes under JVC/Thats brands, and rarely as Sony brand discs.

Copying to a DL blu ray should be relatively simple if you don't want to take anything out of the movie, like menus or extras. Just break encryption and copy the entire thing to the hard drive as an ISO. Then burn the ISO with ImgBurn.

Tomorrow i will check what is the mid code of the bluray i just bought,anyway its incredible that people sell discs that just DONT work!!!! Honestly i dont understand the sense of it! Its like selling a car that u know it doesnt move!!!kerry the procedure u explain is exactly what i did, i rip the whole movie with anydvd to the 2 classic bluray folder and then u used dvdfab 9 to copy the whole bluray content into the disc, the procedure went fine but still the disc hangs after 10 second of playback!!!

Since you have AnyDVD HD, you should use the built in ripper and rip to an image file. If you right click on the fox icon at the bottom right side of your screen, you will get an option to Rip to Image...

This will give you an ISO file of the entire blu ray disc.

There is absolutely no need to use DVDFab by the way. Just open ImgBurn, and use the Write Mode to burn this ISO file to the blank blu ray disc.

The only other suggestion I have to add is that if you are going to use up these MediaRange discs and try to get better results, burn them at the lowest speed your burning drive supports.
