Hello,I have hauppage colossus and im using the HDMI and i love the quality im getting and i exactly want that, now the software that i want to use it "Debut video capture" it gives me some options that i like. But it does not work with hauppauge colossus,i select it but it doesn't work.I tried Xsplit and Colossus worked there and the quality was great but couldn't record (scheduled recording). Now i remember about the virtual audio cable i had to use to with dazzle capture card to get the audio, where i selected the dazzle capture card audio and it outputed as "Line 1 virtual cable" or something. What im asking is there anything like that for video ? so i can select the hauppage and then select whatever the source is from the debut video capture and record. Please Help me out here,i might not be explaning it well, but im pretty sure you get the idea.

I have tried Debut Video Capture, and as I recall it works only for capture devices that output uncompressed video and audio and rely on software on the computer for encoding. The Colossus cannot provide uncompressed audio and video to use software encodeing. It is only able to use its own onboard hardware for encoding and outputs H.264 video and either AAC or AC3 audio. For that reason the Colossus is incompatible with Debut Video Capture. For scheduled recording, with the Colossus try WinTV 7 or NextPVR.

Hello,
I have tried both, they create a MASSIVE filesize and do not give me the options i realy need like, watermark and text -
I remember you other thread on the subject of adding watermarks and text in real time during capture. Nothing I know of will work for that in real time while capturing with the Colossus. Do it afterwards while re-encoding to a smaller size or find a different capture device with software that can do what you want.

Hello,
Oh yeah i did but atleast not any other software similar to debut, that supports colossus ?? -
There is no software available that allows adding text and a watermark to the H.264 video stream from the Colossus during capture.
Instead, you will need to use appropriate screen capture software that allows adding text and a watermark to the screen capture in real time while it records the display window from the capture software you are using for the Colossus. I don't use any screen capture software, but Mirillis Action! looks like might let you add text and a watermark. If not, there is a listing for screen capture software in Video Help's tool section for you to look at to find other programs to try. [Edit]Finding a screen capture that allows scheduling will be another problem.Last edited by usually_quiet; 15th Oct 2013 at 10:18.
