  1. Hi.

Is it possible to create a dvd disc, that contains 2 avi files and 2 folders with lots of pictures?

And making a menu for this selection is possible?

If so, wich program should i use?

    Thanks.

  2. Yes and No. You'd have to convert the avi files and pictures to DVD compliant video. You couldn't just put the avis and pictures on a disc and use a menu.

  3. Any suggestions, exactly how i should do that?

  4. If you need it to play on a standalone DVD player use AVStoDVD.

2 movies won't fit after conversion.

Because a DVD....like one that you buy in a store....does not and cannot have AVI files.
DVD is MPEG2 video. You cannot just burn stuff to a blank DVD and expect it to play in a DVD player.
It does not work that way.

So, did you try AvsToDVD as smrpix suggested? Or did you really burn the AVIs to a DVDR and try and play it in your DVD player?

As for the pictures, just put them in a folder named maybe EXTRAS, in addition to the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders you'll have if you make a real DVD. You'll only be able to access those pictures from a computer, though. A DVD player won't show them unless you make DVDs out of them as well, perhaps using DVD Slideshow GUI.

    I start to realize that.
    But it would be nice.

If i have to use a pc anyway, i prefer a simple data-dvd.

  12. You could create a DVD with a photoslideshow using DVDStyler like this

However, if you expect to be able to select your photos individually you would have to create one-picture slideshows each having it's own button. Rather cumbersome in my POV - and you'll have to respect the maximum allowable buttons on a menu

  13. Yes, i want individual photos.

I found an other thread https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/296541-AVI-Files-to-DVD-data-disc

    I will try that.

Won't do you any good at all if your DVD player doesn't play XviD or DivX AVIs. Does it?

  15. I am making 11 copies, so it is not about my dvd player.

I found a way to do it: use ConvertXtoDVD 4 (able to create costum menu) for the avi files and put the pictures in a "pictures" directory, as manono mentioned.

Videos will be playable on dvd players, pictures can be viewd via pc.
