I am having several problems trying to get my end product of a usable VCD. But i'll kick off with this one.
I am trying to use Vdub to clean up a dowloaded cartoon as it get stuck in TPMGEnc after a while with the message "Illegal floating decimal point calculation order".
I have tracked through numerous posts abd each one suggested the use of VDub.
However I haven't a clue what i'm doing and when scanning the stream it gives me this message "Internal error:MMx state left on:T:\projects\virtualdub_old\main\videosource.cpp :1101" I have no idea wgat this means.
Is there a way round this, how do I repair this footage. Anyone know of a guide for it's use other than it's built in help file which mentions nothing about erros?
One last thing, why does VDub crash whenloading in some films?
I thank you all for reading and hope someone can help me out.

Thanks for the help, but I have already looked down that avenue.... any other ideas?

It may be tedious and take a long while to do, but if all else fails, try reencoding the whole movie again. This may over-look the error in the video stream and reencode it so it's readable again. I suggest encoding very high so minimum video quality is lost. And from there, you can finally convert the "new" video to the format you wanted.Originally Posted by spookyuk

It means you have some bad frames in the original file.
Install DivX Antifreeze; find a link under tools and change in TMPGEnc. under Environmental settings: VFAPI plug-ins: DirectShow Multimedia File Reader priority to 1 by right clicking it and select Higher Priority
