Like the title says, its dead and thought about just replacing it with another one, but was wondering if there is anything else out there like it, that support playback from disc, cd-r, dvd-r ect.
Basically what I'm looking for, is something like my Philips dvp 5990, that can play files from my 2tb hdd via usb or from cd-r, dvd-r, but that can support as many different files as the WDTV Live Plus.
Is there such a device out there?

My LG BD670 Blu-ray players plays MKV, MP4, AVI, etc. from plastic discs (network shares, and USB drives). But it's much more picky about what files it will play than my WDTV live. Many other Blu-ray players have similar abilities but file support is also more limited than standalone media players.

My Asus O!Play works with my USB DVD drive, to play DVD's or data disks. Maybe there are other models of media players that will also work with USB-DVD drives as well.
