    I used to use a file renamer that I could use wildcards such as #,?, @ and rename a file from 11vts_22_0.vob to vts_02_0.vob is there any such tool that does this? Please put this where it should be Thank you John

    The best rename utility that I have found is called just that.. Bulk Rename Utility http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Screenshots.php for screen shot and download. It does one or multiples by selecting those you want to rename and has copy, remove, add, insert, auto number, etc. Almost any option you'd like.

    Total Commander has a very flexible bulk file rename facility: Files/Multi Rename Tool (or: Ctrl+M).

    Ant Renamer is one of many.
    But it is VERY light (portable too) and extremely powerful.

    Used it for years, still one of the best imho.
