  3. DVD Decrypter and DVDShrink are old programs. Don't get me wrong, they are still very good at what they do, they just can't cope with newer protection methods (and what you're describing is similar to a bad sector protection that was defeated, like, six years ago!). Try to rip to ISO using BDlot DVD ISO Master and then open with DVDShrink.

You really ought to be ripping with DVDFab HD Decrypter or AnyDVD

the dvd got no region protection, it got menu

    Hi

    thank you for your answers

Using BDlot DVD ISO Master i managed to copy the entire dvd with no error, but at the same results.
i will try to give more info

    a) even with the original dvd i can not watch the entire video. (just the first chapters)
    b) when copying to hd -> VLC cant open all the vob files, just the firsts (also tried deleting ifo/bup)
    c) when using DVD shrink re-author i can watch about 98% percent now (not just the first chapters)

The DVD is damaged or it is a cheap DVD+/-R (memorex, tdk, etc etc).

  6. The weird thing is that using DVD shrink re-author i can watch almost the entire video, and normally i can not.

So by you ignoring my previous post we can assume that it IS a cheapo home-burned DVD recordable?

  8. Sorry if you thought it was an ignore. you can say it is some kind of backup but not home-burned. it is a lecture, that's why the 2-3 percent i can not watch is also important.

I was trying to ask if there is any method to recover the entire dvd since all VOB files are copied fine, and using DVD-shrink i can recover about 98% percent of the video. normally i can view about 30%

    thank you.

  9. In a thread elsewhere, the same error ("On-the-fly IFO/BUP file patching fail") was resolved "To solve this I unchecked Remove IFO Protection" in the DVDDecryptor setup for "File Mode"

  10. Thank you, i removed the ifo protection, no error message this time but same results (but its also helps)

The best results i managed to get were by using DVD-shrink re-author i can view about 98% percent of the video and normally i can view about 30% (from the original dvd also).

    TIA
