  4. The way how to go on diet is to gradually replace what you eat now. With any sudden moves to certain diet or "miracle" products. Our body can act weird. Veggies , they can be put in smoothies (mixed stuff in mixer, not juices) with some organic hemp or plant seed proteins (check Amazon) to get some energy and not to consume lot or not at all men made fast carbohydrates (not whole bread, white bread, sugar). You gradualy add more green to those smoothies for example.

There is studies that confirm that not eating fast carbs, suddenly there is opportunity to eat fats and not to worry about cholesterol also. Juices are not good because we take fiber out of it - natural anti-dose for glucose that is in it. Fruit as a whole is what we need.

Some do detoxification first with veggies but to switch slowly to healthy food will stay with you, so why not to take it easy. Habits are picked up gradually, there is time to slowly learn shopping habits, whole family should be involved because if there is always open bag of potato chips around , it does no good , there is a time to learn. No mirracle stuff is needed. Everything is out there , very cheap. A bag of split pea costs a dollar for example .

I like coffee, but this is ridiculous. To lose fat, you need to decrease intake of junk carbohydrates, do strength training (so your muscles don't atrophy) and do cardio work to burn fat (not necessarily running on a treadmill, things like boxing or beating up a tire with a sledgehammer also work). Doing all 3 works best.

actually, i'm not a heavy coffee drinker. one cup a day is enough.

favorite brand for many years has been chock full o' nuts, but i have noticed that the taste has swayed, so i started experimenting, buying different brand of beans and grinding them myself.

after 5 grinders, i finally settled on the hamilton beach, model 80365. is fairly quiet and grinds perfectly--doesn't leave chunks like all the other grinders i've tried. so far, i like starbucks and peet's coffee. next, i'll be trying 8'oclock and some other brand i can't remember at the moment.

i don't grind all the beans, just one cup worth (3 tbl spns) per day. it has become my morning routine.

  11. it does help because coffee beans are caffeine and adding caffeine to your diet will help speed up your metabolism. However, it will only speed it up 10% though. Not a great deal.

I'd love to see where you got this piece of "science" from. You get energy from caffeine which 'can' help push you through a hard time workout but that's it. Metabolism is a genetic thing, everyone is different. To say caffeine will boost your metabolism by 10 percent is just wrong.

Weight loss is simple. Eat less than you burn a day. If you eat 2000 calories a day and remain at say 100 pounds, reduce your calories by about 10 percent. When you stop losing weight at 1800 calories a day, reduce by another 10 percent.

If you want to lose fat and hold onto muscle then you have to fine tune your diet even more and be on a good strength training program. You'll burn more calories lifting heavy than running or swimming. That doesn't mean cardio doesn't have it's place but diet comes first the heavy lifting THEN cardio.

There is no Magic Pill or Wonder Food that will make you lose weight. A balanced diet with a calorific intake less than your per day calorific output will make you lose weight. Anything else is just trying to get money out of you. Sad, but true.
