    Hello,
I'm trying to unlock a Teac DV-4000 I recently purchased at a garage sale.
The Teac DV-4000 guide listed on here is for a Teac DV-4120 and doesn't seem to work with the earlier DV-4000.

Has anyone had any luck getting an actual DV-4000 unlocked?
    Thanks in advance.

Aussies and Kiwis have an option the rest of the world doesn't. You can contact the manufacturer's office in your country and ask them to help you unlock it. There's some law there that apparently says that players have to be unlockable for DVD playback and we've had quite a few reports of "unlockable" players that nobody knew any unlock codes for that manufacturers were willing to unlock for Kiwi or Aussie owners.

    Thanks jman98,
That's pretty interesting. I'll have to contact Teac support. If I do get a code from them I'll have to post it on here.
