  2. neither nero nor prassi can do 1 : 1 copies of a dvd ( assuming it's a dvd-5 as those will fit on a dvd-r, a dual layer dvd-9 will not ) due to ecrypted streams, hence you must rips the vob files to the hardrive and process from there.. that's why you must use th dvd to dvd-r guides, they work well.

  3. I've been attempting to copy Help I'm A Fish, a single layer R2 disk. They would appear to have some special copy protection as ripping the disk, processing it in ifoedit (although this makes not difference) and copying causes an unplayable coaster to be produced .

I've tried playing about with the pgc stuff in the ifo files but cannot make a playable disk.

Tried all the various guides for copy protection but this disk must do something a little different from the norm. Anybody got any ideas?

  4. since you managed to rip a r2 dvd-5 disc, can you frameserve it to see if it indeed ripped properly with dvd2avi ? also it easy to screw up in ifoedit, as i have done that before even after sucessfull ripping, i keep a print out on hand when i do use ifoedit.

  5. i just ripped it to my harddrive with smart ripper and burned back with nero it worked fine in my pc, my ps2 and my standalone DVD player

how big do the files add up to with HELP I'M A FISH

as i have a dvd that is 6.3 GB called bridget jones diary, and i am finding that very difficult to do.

as i need to reduce it to fit to a 4.7gb disc but i dont want to lose any extra features or anything

  6. then it's not gonna happen unless you want to split the movie into 2 dvd-rs, for me once i rip if I can fit it back on a dvd-r great, if i can't then some feature has go to go ( hec I never use sub titles anyway and never use any other language other than english ).
