Alternative to SUPER for converting files to DVD w/o losing audio sync?

I'm looking for an alternative to SUPER for converting files (AVI, FLV, WMV, mp4, etc) to DVD without losing audio sync. The other tools I use are MainConcept, FAVC, AVS To DVD, and DVD Flick. Many times when using these tools, the audio in the resulting file is out of sync. This problem occurs more with WMV than with other files. Usually, when these other files fail to keep the audio in sync, SUPER will be successful.

However, SUPER will no longer open. For a while, when I would try to open it, I would get a message saying that my version was obsolete and that I should upgrade, but it also gave the option to decline the upgrade and go ahead and open it. Now, when I try to open it, I'm diverted to a webpage titled 'Xpired SUPER' which informs me that the version is obsolete and that upgrade to v2012.build.54 is requested to avoid a critical bug. And there is no obvious option to open the old version (which is build 49). There might be an option that I'm missing; especially considering the trickiness they employ when downloading the software (according to what I've read about the new version).

I'm reading all kinds of bad things about the adware that comes with the new version, but I'm also reading that it's no big deal if I read carefully and decline certain options. On the other hand, I'm also reading that even if I do that, it is still bad. I might add that I've never had any problems with the version that I've been using.

Like I said, I used SUPER because it would usually convert files and keep the audio in sync when the other tools I mentioned wouldn't.

So, with audio sync being the main concern, is there other freeware (or cheapware) that would be a good alternative to SUPER?

Also, I found a site - FreewareUpdate.com - where I can apparently download the same build that I have. If I do that, does anyone know if it will still divert me to the XpiredSuper site to get me to upgrade?

9 times out of 10, the source file is the reason for sync problems....not the software's attempt to deal with CRAP like FLV and WMV.

You can try freemake video converter, video to video converter or convertxtodvd. If still out of sync then it's your source.

Audio sync issues not always can be solved by simply switching to another "Wonder GUI". Sadly or not, sooner or later we all will have to take some time to learn how to use "alternative toolchains".

Just as a starting point: FLV files often use *variable frame rate*. WMV files not only happen to use VFR, but also can be the result of joined segments containing audio delays. If you search "long enough" or "deep enough", I'm pretty sure you'll find the answers you need.
