    When making a VCD/SVCD what should be seen in each of the files e.gEXT,MPEGAV,SEGMENT and SVCD. I have tried making a SVCD using VCDEasy but the file AVSEQ01 will not play

    Hey nivram,

    I wanted to reply and try to help cause it really stinks to ask
    questions and get no answers ....

    So you're trying to play the svcd on your pc?
    Are you using a software dvd player ?

    winDVD (Find a link under tools and down load the demo),
    plays svcd.

    If you just dblclick on a mpeg2 file on your pc, it is unlikely to play.

    BTW - why bother make svcds if you don't have a stand alone player?

    if you r playing on ur computer, DIVX is best.


    YOu will get a better picture and use less space.


    Most computers do not come with an MPEG 2 codec installed.

    Hi Imawetodd, I'm using both because SVCD are easier to send to relatives with standalone DVD players.
