I have 2 types of videos on my HDD, flv and video_TS.VOB, they both showed fine last time I had used them about a year or two ago, tried them now and both will not show in Nero Show Time, downloaded Media Player classic and getting an error message about not having correct "codecs"? Help please?

Only the flv videos work with VLC, the video_TS.VOB files show this error message:

No suitable decoder module: VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

Also, VLC does have "constant"volume or shuffle features as MPC so I think it owuld be best for me to fix the MPC issues but I can't find a specific forum for MPC or where I might get support directly for that software?

There's often nothing much of anything in a VIDEO_TS.VOB, and it's a menu VOB anyway. What happens when you play a movie VOB, one of the 1 GB ones? You can play them, can't you? What's supposedly in the VIDEO_TS.VOB that you're trying so hard to get it to play? I don't suppose it'll open in DGIndex? And if you want to play the DVD, double-click on the VIDEO_TS.IFO in Media Player Classic-Home Cinema.

  7. I don't know as I don't use that feature. However, if you know how to create a playlist, go View->Playlist, right-click on the playlist and 'Randomize'.

I had found the instructions for playlists here:

    http://gofree.com/Tutorials/MediaPlayerClassicTut3.php

but what I am seeking is to simply open a folder of videos and shuffle those without needing to create a playlist but if it can;t be done this way then I guess I will have to create the playlist first, thanks.
