I have installed Microsoft Home Publishing 2000 onto my computer. (I am using Windows 7 Home Premium)
I can open program and do everything, except access the clip gallery. When I click on the clip gallery, there are no pictures in the gallery. Where did they go?
Can anyone help me?
I love this program and use it for a multitude of things. It worked earlier on Win. 7, but for some reason my clip gallery pictures have disappeared.
My system restore doesn't go back far enough to use it to get everything working again.
I have uninstalled the program and re- installed the program, trying to make it work, but the clip gallery pictures are always missing.
I hope someone can help me with this problem.
Thank you

Moving you to our computer section. It's not really any programming.
Have you tried start in compatibility mode(like winxp mode)? Right click on the publishing start icon to adjust it. -
Welcome to Windows 7. Most '2000'-'2002' versions of Microsoft office and photo products don't work properly in Vista/W7, and some won't even install at all. You might try running it in XP compatiblity mode.
Window System Restore has nothing to do with where your gallery pictures are stored. If it worked earlier, all depends on how your gallery was set up. Are you referring to the default pics that come with the program, or to pictures and galleries that you added and created yourself after installing the product? Were you able to see those galleries previously in Windows 7, or did you create them in XP? A little bit of your gallery's history is missing here.Last edited by sanlyn; 24th Mar 2014 at 12:06.

I did run in in compatibility mode (win xp) and it is the same. The pictures are on the computer, they just won't show up in the clip gallery. Even if I try to install myself (from where they are on computer), they won't stay in clip gallery. After I installed them myself, they are not displayed in the clip gallery, but if I try to re-install (import) them again, it says they are already there.
What is going on?
Can you help me? Thank you -
OK, so Photo Gallery doesn't want to "import" pictures into its own gallery if the pictrures are already there. I assume you mean that the pics are in folders that are named as the usual "Gallery" folders. So, think back to how you initially imported those pics 'way-back-when. Likely, you told Gallery to import pics from other locations or media. Try moving those pictures out of Gallery's own folders, into another location with different folder names. Then tell Gallery to do its import thingie. Even if that doesn't work (I don't see why it wouldn't), you'll still have the pics.
And just to be double safe (I never did trust Gallery!), do it this way. Instead of a "move" of those pics, make a new foldr and Copy them into it. If the copy works OK, play triple safe and make a copy of that folder (yes, I had to do that once when a "move" failed with Koak EasyShare and I lost some pics). So you'll then have two copies of all those pics. Then you can proceed to clean out the pics from Galleries own folders, and try the import.Last edited by sanlyn; 24th Mar 2014 at 12:07.

The gallery says the pics are there when I try to import, but the gallery also says there are no pics in the gallery. I have tried to import and it will only show 1 pic. No matter how many I import, it will only show 1 pic. Also, all of the categories are gone. I tried putting a couple in, but it doesn't recognize them.
What is wrong with this program?
Is there anything else I can do?
Thank you for your help.
