  1. I am looking for a easy to use program to cut parts out of different movies and merge the parts together to make one movie. What program should I use?

Hello, and welcome. As this is your first post, the first thing to get accustomed to is the usual questions:

What kind of movies? What formats? DV? XVid? DivX? h264? DVD? SD? HD? VHS source? What do you want for final output?

  3. They are in avi format. The output can be the same, or mp4 or so on

Thanks for that, but "avi" is a container that can include many kinds of encoding and compression. To say "or mp4 or so on" is still too vague, as mp4 is only one of many possible output formats. You need to be more specific. For starters, let's go back to the source files. How were they dcreated? Where do they come from? What encoding or compression was used? Are they standard-def? High-def?

Freemake video converter. Open all movies. Use the scissor to cut each clip. CLick on join at top right. Convert to avi/mp4/etc.
