Leave the SVCD sections in pieces, just as they are on the disk. Put each disk on a separate track in the DVD authoring software. There will be a tiny pause between tracks, I imagine, but trying to rejoin the MPEG2 clips will cause sync errors .. and there may be a slight pop/click/glitch in the video even if you successfully join them and keep sync.

If your SVCD video is standard, i.e., 480x480/576, it won't work in your DVD authoring software. Standard SVCD resolution is the only resolution NOT supported in the DVD spec.

  3. Which authoring software will do this?

I have tried using 2 mpegs in Ulead DVD Movie Factory but it returns back to the menu after the first movie is played.

How do i get it to play the 2nd movie after the 1st?

    cheers

I'm not familiar with that software .. I've only ever used SpruceUp and Apple DVD Studio Pro.

  5. I think i tried spruce up, and when you test the movie, im sure it returned to the menu after the first movie file was played.

What settings to you use to make it play the 2nd file straight away?

    cheers

Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure SpruceUp DOES return to the menu after every clip. Bummer. I haven't tried any professional level authoring software on the Windows platform, but I have tried DVD Studio Pro and it does play one track after another, you just set the "play next" item on every asset. Maybe you should "ask a friend" on the internet to let you test his copy of a professional level DVD authoring software.

    S/he wouldn't even notice you're borrowing it.
